How to get started with your Closer to Nature Monitor
Setting up your monitor
Get started by reading through the instruction manual – ensure that the batteries and battery cover are fitted correctly. If the batteries do not make efficient contact, it is possible that the monitor unit will not charge properly.
To ensure correct set up, consumers should make sure all monitor cords are out of reach of the child and that the adapter cable is not stretched across furniture, as this could damage the wiring.
If set up incorrectly, there is a risk that a child could pull the sensor pad cord into crib. Child safety is the most important part of everything Tommee Tippee do, so as a precaution, a free of charge cord cover kit is available to any customer who has bought one of these monitors. Cord cover kit can be ordered directly from the official website.
Intermittent sound information
Ensure the batteries are fully charged and all wires are fully connected and intact. If the power save mode is enabled, the unit will remain silent until a noise is detected, such as baby coughing or crying. In power save mode, background noise such as radio and TV will not be picked up. Power save mode can be disabled by increasing the sensitivity level to Level 5, allowing for constant sound.
Adjusting the sound sensitivity level of the baby unit
The sound sensitivity settings of the baby unit can be changed only when the parent unit is linked with the baby unit. To adjust, press the menu button on the parent unit and then press +/- to go to the sensitivity level menu. Press the menu button and the current sensitivity level will be displayed. Press +/- to adjust the sensitivity level between Level 1 to Level 5.
